songs

Our mother God we hold the sword in holy times
We are the war, we never see the light
The order call, we all will take more human wine
And we toast to the night

We fold our hands, we keep the bible in our minds
Our father God, we are the hordes of Cain
And though you run we will take you and we find
Any type, any vein

We drink your blood
When the midnight sky is red
We drink your blood
And we call the sanguine saints
We drink your blood
When the midnight sky is red
We drink your blood
And we open your veins

Our father lord, we are the demons of the wild
When all we pray, stand the fight as one
We tame the storm, we are the martyrs in the light
Take your soul when you run
We are the dark, we are the saints of blood at night
We hear the call, when the moon shines red
We grab your body, in morning all we are
Satisfied when you are dead

We drink your blood
When the midnight sky is red
We drink your blood
And we call the sanguine saints
We drink your blood
When the midnight sky is red
We drink your blood
And we open your veins

We drink, we drink, we drink your blood
Kyrie eleison
We drink, we drink, we drink your blood
Kyrie eleison

We drink your blood
When the midnight sky is red
We drink your blood
And we call the sanguine saints
We drink your blood
When the midnight sky is red
We drink your blood
And we open your veins
We drink your blood

This would go perfect in the first scene of the play because it explains what Abigail is doing and fits well even though its a very dark song

Right now he's probably slow dancing
With a bleached-blond tramp
And she's probably getting frisky
Right now, he's probably buying
Her some fruity little drink
'Cause she can't shoot whiskey
Right now, he's probably up behind her
With a pool stick
Showing her how to shoot a combo
And he don't know
I dug my key into the side
Of his pretty little souped-up 4 wheel drive
Carved my name into his leather seat
I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights
Slashed a hole in all 4 tires
And maybe next time he'll think before he cheats
Right now, she's probably up singing some
White-trash version of Shania karaoke
Right now, she's probably saying, "I'm drunk"
And he's a thinking that he's gonna get lucky
Right now, he's probably dabbing on 3 dollars
Worth of that bathroom Polo
Oh and he don't know
That I dug my key into the side
Of his pretty little souped-up 4 wheel drive
Carved my name into his leather seat
I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights
Slashed a hole in all 4 tires
And maybe next time he'll think before he cheats
I might've saved a little trouble for the next girl
'Cause the next time that he cheats
Oh, you know it won't be on me!
No, not on me
'Cause I dug my key into the side
Of his pretty little souped-up 4 wheel drive
Carved my name into his leather seat
I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights
Slashed a hole in all 4 tires
Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats
Oh, maybe next time he'll think before he cheats
Oh, before he cheats
Oh

This song would go great in the scene were Abigail and john proctor both are talking about the affair that they had. It would symbolize what that scene meant to the both of them.

And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and ev'ry highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do , I saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
And through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way,
"Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way"

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
The right to say the things he feels and not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows and did it my way!

this song would go great in the scene when john Proctor is protecting his name when he is about to die. this song explains what he was feeling at the  time and what he went through.

Hey hey, you you, I don't like your girlfriend
No way, no way, I think you need a new one
Hey hey, you you, I could be your girlfriend
Hey hey, you you, I know that you like me
No way, no way, you know it's not a secret
Hey hey, you you, I want to be your girlfriend
You're so fine, I want you mine, you're so delicious
I think about you all the time, you're so addictive
Don't you know what I can do to make you feel alright?
Don't pretend, I think you know I'm damn precious
And hell yeah I'm the mother fucking princess
I can tell you like me too and you know I'm right
She's like so whatever
You can do so much better
I think we should get together now
And that's what everyone's talking about
Hey hey, you you, I don't like your girlfriend
No way no way, I think you need a new one
Hey hey, you you, I could be your girlfriend
Hey hey, you you, I know that you like me
No way, no way, you know its not a secret
Hey hey, you you, I want to be your girlfriend
I can see the way, I see the way you look at me
And even when you look away I know you think of me
I know you talk about me all the time again and again
So come over here and tell me what I wanna hear
Better yet, make your girlfriend disappear
I don't wanna hear you say her name ever again
Cause she's like so whatever
And you can do so much better
I think we should get together now
And that's what everyone's talking about
Hey hey, you you, I don't like your girlfriend
No way, no way, I think you need a new one
Hey hey, you you, I could be your girlfriend
Hey hey, you you, I know that you like me
No way, no way, you know it's not a secret
Hey hey, you you, I want to be your girlfriend
In a second you'll be wrapped around my finger
'Cause I can, cause I can do it better
There's no other, so when's it gonna sink in?
She's so stupid, what the hell were you thinking?
In a second you'll be wrapped around my finger
'Cause I can, cause I can do it better
There's no other, so when's it gonna sink in?
She's so stupid, what the hell were you thinking?
Hey hey, you you, I don't like your girlfriend
No way, no way, I think you need a new one
Hey hey, you you, I could be your girlfriend
(No way, no way)
Hey hey, you you, I know that you like me
No way, no way, you know it's not a secret
Hey hey, you you, I want to be your girlfriend(No way, no way
Hey hey, you you, I don't like your girlfriend
No way, no way, I think you need a new one
Hey hey, you you, I could be your girlfriend
No way, no way
Hey hey, you you, I know that you like me
No way, no way, you know it's not a secret
Hey hey, you you, I want to be your girlfriend
No way, no way, hey hey!

this song matches the theme of the book because through out the entire book Abigail is jealous of Elizabeth and wants to be with john proctor.

I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the world I'm coming home
Let the rain wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they've forgiven my mistakes
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the world that I'm coming
I'm back where I belong
Yeah I never felt so strong
I'm feelin' like there's nothing that I can't try
(I'm back, baby)
And if you with me put your hands high
(Put your hands high)
If you ever lost a life before, this one's for you
(And if you with me put your hands high)
And you, and you and you and you
(Your dreams are filled, you're rapping with the best)
I hear "The Tears Of A Clown", I hate that song
I feel like they talking to me when it comes on
Another day another dawn
Another Keisha, nice to meet ya, get the math, I'm gone
What am I 'posed to do when the club lights come on
It's easy to be Puff, but it's harder to be Sean
What if the twins ask why I ain't marry they mom?
(Why? Damn)
How do I respond?
What if my son stares with a face like my own
And says he wants to be like me when he's grown
Damn, but I ain't finished growin'
Another night the inevitable prolongs
Another day, another dawn
Just tell Keisha and Teresa I'll be better in the morn'
Another lie that I carry on
I need to get back to the place I belong
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the world I'm coming home
Let the rain wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they've forgiven my mistakes
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the world that I'm coming
"A house Is Not A Home", I hate this song
Is a house really a home when your loved ones is gone?
And people got the nerve to blame you for it
And you know you woulda took the bullet if you saw it
But you felt it and still feel it
And money can't make up for it or conceal it
But you deal with it and you keep ballin'
Pour out some liquor, play boy, and we keep ballin'
Baby, we've been living in sin 'cause we've been really in love
But we've been living as friends
So you've been a guest in your own home
It's time to make your house your own, pick up your phone, come on
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the world I'm coming home
Let the rain wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they've forgiven my mistakes
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the world that I'm coming
"Ain't No Stopping Us Now", I love that song
Whenever it comes on it makes me feel strong
I thought I told y'all that we won't stop
'Til back cruising through Harlem, Viso blocks
It's what made me, saved me, drove me crazy
Drove me away than embraced me, forgave me
For all of my shortcomings, welcome to my homecoming
Yeah it's been a long time coming
Lot of fights, lot of scars
Lot of bottles, lot of cars
Lot of ups, lot of downs
Made it back, lost my dog
(I miss you Big)
And here I stand, a better man
(A better man)
Thank you Lord
(Thank you Lord)
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the world I'm coming home
Let the rain wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they've forgiven my mistakes
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the world that I'm coming

The song "Coming Home' by Diddy relates to "The Crucible" because it ties in with Proctor "coming home" to his wife, and realizing that he needs to stand by her side. Another way this song fits in with "The Crucible" is through the lines, "What if my son stares with a face like my own, and says he wants to be like me when he's grown." This compares to how Proctor would not sign the paper confirming his admission to witchcraft. His reasoning for not signing, was because he did not want people, his family in particular, to think he was a liar.
